"Nursing is love in action,
and there is no finer manifestation of it than the care of the poor and disabled in their own homes.
"

Lillian Wald

Thesis

At a time when nursing and health care was limited to hospitals and the rich, Lillian Wald showed leadership by working to provide all people with health care, regardless of where they were from or how much money they had. Today there are many organizations that work to provide affordable health care to everyone. Thanks to Lillian Wald's kindness and passion, she has improved the lives of women, children, and minorities across the country.
